Hi everyone! My real name is Mike, but everyone calls me Sully. I have a passion for helping people. I blame my parents.
My wife and I destroyed more than $100,000 in student loans, car loans, and credit card debt in three years. It wasn't easy and it demanded big sacrifices, but we are now debt free, with the exception of our mortgage. We lived below our means, worked our tails off, and even lived with my wife's mother for three years. The short-term sacrifice was worth it in the long run. My wife is a coupon queen and I am always searching for fun side hustles that help pad our pockets with cold, hard cash. My goal is to share what I've learned during our debt-free journey and help you get closer to becoming financially free from the grasp of monthly debt payments that might eat up your paycheck.
About three years ago, something changed about the way I thought about money. I always thought everyone's paychecks were simply thrown away every two weeks toward paying rent/mortgage, credit card bills, student loans, and car loans. But the more I read, the more I learned. I have read hundreds of books, articles, and blog posts about the importance of destroying debt, saving money, and investing for the future. I've also realized how important having additional sources of income is. Having side hustles where you can earn extra cash simply helps ease a little bit of financial pressure-- whether it's paying bills, deleting debt faster, or investing that extra income. I hope my website helps you feel a little more free with your finances by scoring with a side hustle.
Another fun fact: I am a full-time Executive Producer in Boston. You might think a Sully from Boston would have a Boston accent... sadly, I don't. I grew up on the other side of the state, where we don't have accents. What I do have is passion for my career. I take pride in helping the people of Boston stay safe and informed when big stories break.
Random facts: I was born in Germany because my father was in the military. I love all of my Boston sports teams. Lasagna is my favorite food. I enjoy running and exercising, watching football, writing, reading, and side hustling in my free time. I'm always trying to make my wife laugh and be happy. Life's too short to be anything but, right?
Most importantly, I try my best not to waste time. I'm always trying to help others, improve myself, and be happy. We all have 24 hours in a day. It's not how many hours you put into something, it's what you put into those hours that really counts.
Thanks for reading,
